Model of the moment Malaika Firth has had one very unforgettable year. It has only been two years since the newcomer started her modeling career from humble beginnings. Modeling for high street brand ASOS, the 19-year-old has already been labeled, so to speak, as "the new Naomi." Carole White, founder of Premier Model Management and Malaika's own mother agency, was the one who inspired her to model from watching the television show, The Modeling Agency. She states, "What drew me to Malaika were her almond eyes, caramel-kissed skin tone, and unruly locks." With her mixed heritage, the Londoner, originating from Kenya, first took the industry by storm when becoming the first black woman in 19 years to star in a Prada campaign, which hasn't been done since Miss Campbell herself glamoured the cameras back in 1994. After so much of Malaika's successes: opening and closing for Valentino and walking for other well-known brands such as Stella McCartney and Miu Miu, among others; scoring Prada's Spring 2014 campaign and being featured in Burberry's new campaign; and finally, getting the cover of British Vogue, one thing's for sure—we will be seeing a lot more of her beauty!
